Born on 30 June 1942, Split. Elementary and Secondary School completed in Sarajevo. Graduated from Law School, University of Belgrade. Attended School of Journalism of the "Vjesnik" daily, Zagreb.

  • 1969 – Joined the Federal Secretariat for Foreign Affairs of the SFR of Yugoslavia (FSFA), Belgrade

  • 1971-1975 – Attache and Third Secretary, Permanent Mission of the SFR of Yugoslavia to the United Nations in New York
  • 1976-1979 – Counsellor, Department for International Organizations, FSFA
  • 1979-1984 – Counsellor, Permanent Mission of the SFR of Yugoslavia to the United Nations in New York
